As for some trivia – Saint Patrick didn’t actually come from Ireland, but was taken prisoner from Britain by Irish raiders & was brought to Ireland to work as a shepherd. Eat out in London for under a tenner

Dining out in London doesn’t necessarily have to ‘break the bank’!

Since the economic down-turn diners in London are demanding better value & are snubbing places that charge exorbitant prices. The culinary choice in London is staggering from Afghan cuisine to Vietnamese delights – the choice is yours entirely.

A traditional deep-fried battered fish & chip meal costs about £5 from the Fish Club in Wandsworth.

Caribbean Classic! True Jamaican jerk is served at Mr Jerk just off Oxford Street where a typical meal costs £8-9.

A good old burger from Gourmet Burger Kitchen serves burgers from under £4 & have outlets throughout the capital.

Vegetarians are also well catered for. My favourite is Eat & Two Veg in Marylebone High Street, not far from Oxford Street & Bond Street – a perfect pit-stop during a shopping trip. A plate of veggies will set you back about £5.

The above is just a handful that’s on offer. It pays to do a little homework before setting off thereby avoiding the tourist traps.
